Mary (MaryBob) Felgenhauer, age 83, passed joyfully into the arms of Jesus on August 1, 2020. Survived by her devoted husband Ronald "Ron" Felgenhauer of 55 years of marriage, her adoring daughter, Laurel Fredrickson, her four beautiful granddaughters, Emalie "Emma" Fredrickson (Laurel); Meghan, Madison, and McKenna Felgenhauer (the late Tim), two amazing great-grandsons, Parker and Oliver (Emalie), and her loving daughter-in-law, Amanda Felgenhauer (the late Tim).
Mary was preceded in death by her adored grandson Sean, who passed into the arms of Jesus at the tender age of 4; and her beloved son Tim, who passed into the arms of our Lord at the young age of 41. Mary is also preceded in death by her five brothers, George (Eileen), Albert, Andrew, David, and Thomas Ewan.
Mary was beloved by all who knew her. She loved her family, her church, and her friends with all of her heart. She loved music, especially classical, and played in the hand bell choir at Zion Lutheran Church for years, where she was also the Zion Lutheran School secretary. She greatly enjoyed playing golf with her husband, Ron, although she would always say “I’m not a pro, but I had fun, even though Ron was a pain in the butt at times”! She enjoyed crossword puzzles, lunching with “the ladies”, and just spending time with her family and friends. She loved the theatre and ballet, as she and Ron had season tickets to the Performing Arts Center in Munster; she so enjoyed attending these performances! Mary always had a smile for everyone and especially hugs, and would light up the room ready to chat as soon as she walked in. As a grandma, she was always thoroughly involved in school functions and performances and made sure, even if she couldn’t be there for an event, to call the next day to ask for all the details! She was a kind-hearted person and would always help when someone was in need or struggling.
Mary will be greatly missed by her family, friends, neighbors, and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her!
